Words to describe the F1inschools Mania,
AWESOME... exhausting but AWESOME!
The day was definately fun and exciting especially the starting of the whole thing, THE PERASMIAN!! I got all giddy and excited just thinking about it!
Now, you must be wondering, what happened?
Well, let us rewind through all the events of today and start playing from the part where I just came to school. 7.00a.m.. I was running everywhere the minute i stepped my foot on the school grounds-with the box of drinks, a big Bally paperbag with PS2 inside and my blue bag, I must have looked like an idiot!
By 7.15a.m., I was at the school's dewan busy looking for all my other teammates while pushing the big box full of the F1 track equipments. I can't believe they were late! Even the robotic team was late! And we were suppose to set up the whole track 15 minutes ago! But after a few more minutes of me being the patient person that I am, they finally came to school.
We managed to set up the track, but guess what? The triggers did not work! And robotic team was still not ready with their sensor machine robotic thingy! To make matters worse, the teacher who was managing all the cerificates for the event-Hari Anugerah Ko-kurikulum- was like telling me, "Mana F1 punya sijil? Cepat bagi dekat cikgu in 10mins, kalau tak..." and there was only 1 CO2 Catridge. So, I was assigned to handle ALL of the problems in 30mis flat. Basically, during the 30mins, I was frantically running everywhere-from one side of the track to the other, from the pameran place and back to the track, from the dewan to the bengkel and back, to the 4th floor of our school and back to the dewan... I basically lost count.
While I was making my how many rounds of trips to the bengkel, I then saw Mr Fuad with the key to the bengkel! It was like the Earth finally moved again after 'resting' from 7.00am. Connie and I quickly took the catridges as well as the triggers Mr Fuad brought along with him and we dashed to the track. Farah and Nadz were so happy when they saw the things and they quickly set up the things-the VIPs were there watching the kawad thing- while I pushed the robotics to quickly set up their sensor robot thing. FINALLY we were done setting up!
The ceremony began with the doa and speeches. We the F1 teams were waiting at the side for the VIP-I forgot who she was but she was friendly though!- to finish her speech. Btw, we didn't hear a word she said. We were like assigning duties for all of us. Nadz and Farah were suppose to assist VIP and pengetua with the triggers while me and Chia Sing were suppose to make sure everything was OK at the finish line ( before this, they wanted us to accompany VIP and pengetua, then do sth with the checkered flags) and well Yee Wen looked at us annoyingly with her hands covering her face from the sunlight(she was glowing!) as she was suppose to accept the sijil from VIP.
So, at the finish line, we were really anxious as the robotic team did not switch on their machine thingy and this other teacher was like, "Apa kamu semua buat? kenapa tak start benda tu?...Dah on? Ok Cepat wave the flag bagi signal kat dorang" He took the flag and frantically waved it while we were like...OooK, (eyebrows raised O.o). Anyways, the people on the other side pressed the buttons and they were off! We on the other side, were staring at the cars, really staring and when the 1st car made it to the finish line, Chia Sing was like oOk, and then she quickly waved the flags, and the fireworks the robotic team was working at for the past few days managed to pop and well it became the fireworks it was suppose to be. It was sooo cool! We the ones at the finish line were all having the same expression (eyes wide, large weird smile plastered on our faces). The thing worked! After all the failed attempts yesterday, the robot thing worked! We were happy especially the robotic team (magnus and peter was going crazy!). To celebrate, we all had a celebration with all the leftover fireworks (magnus bought a lot, for experiment purposes) and took crazy pics just for the heck of it all.
Forward to the pameran,
We were all busy fixing here and there at our booths. The place was rather peculiar, with the robotics own robot battle, F1 with their cars and chess team...playing chess. The VIPs visited our booth and we were already for all the F1 qs they might ask us but the 1st thing that pops out of her mouth was, "What do you(Amy) wanna be when you grow up?" we were like, Ook and i was like, "Doctor?".Very weird but it happened.
Forward to the end of the pameran,
Nadz and I was running to the guard house waiting for the pizzas we ordered. We waited and we waited but they weren't there. So we called the manager and he said, " Miss Amira, we have a problem with your orders." I almost died hearing those words but we managed to fix the problems and then we waited again. But the delivery dude was still not there! We called again and the manager said that the delivery dude was already on his way 30mins ago! Wth? Our school is not that hard to find! Suddenly, farah came and she said that the delivery dude was already there but at the other guardhouse. So we had to run there as if there's no tommorow (You wouldn't believe how far that guardhouse was from the one we've been hanging around, we had to go through two fields, 1 tennis court, a parking lot and the two bus stop!) By the time we reached the guard house, mad crowds were waiting for us (they ordered from us). You would think that they brought torches, parangs and all that. When we thought it was over, we had to wait for the other delivery dude and the manager himself with the other batch of pizzas. Finally after that was all over, we had to pass all the pizzas to all the people who ordered. Scary experience. It was 12.10 sth and after all that we haven't eaten a single thing!
Wow, what a day today was. As I said, exhausting but AWEOSOME.
Now looking back at the things i wrote, its like I've just written a very very long essay. Team LB would like to apologise to all the F1 teams that we have supposedly invited to this thing but you see, sth came up. With all our heart, we would like to say sorry. Maybe next time aite. SBS teams, thanks for today and for those who did not race their car, we'll try our best and set sth up for you (key words, try our best).
Well, after all that. I need to signed off and find someone who could massage me (my whole body aches). If I can't find anyone, maybe I'll go to my grandma's and lepak at her chair or maybe I'll go the nearest Ogawa store and sit on their chairs. Who knows right?
